We know what you’ll be wearing this year! If you look closely at the catwalks and style influencers, you can get a pretty good idea of what trends are going to trickle down to the masses. Beauty trends are constantly changing and evolving, but we think we have nailed the 6 trends you will be trying this year. Don’t believe us? Read on.

2015 was the year of understated makeup and natural tones. We predict a bit of a shake up for 2016, and think that minimalism will be replaced by some crazy color palettes and risqué looks. We’re talking punchy eye shadows and lipsticks in shades of blue, purple and green.
The bangs are back baby and they are going to be huge in 2016. Kate Middleton recently got the chop and now has a gorgeous shaggy, layered look which means that half of the country will probably be doing the same thing in a matter of weeks. Do it before your friends do for bragging rights.

3. Organic and vegan products
Organic food gained popularity last year, and we think this will eventually lead to the total dominance of organic and vegan products in the coming year. Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of what goes into their beauty cases, and want to know that what they are putting on their skin is good for them and good for the environment.

4. Unruly brows
The trend towards super slick, highly maintained brows will fade in favor of a thicker, more natural look. Thick, unplucked brows give your face a really youthful appearance and are a lot less harsh than high, arched styles.

5. Eyelash extensions
You’ve heard of hair extensions but we guarantee you will be lining up for eyelash extensions at some point this year. Super long, fluttery lashes are going to be a massive beauty trend this year, and are inspired by the Kardashians seemingly endless and ever present lashes. No one has time to apply fake lashes every morning, so these semi-permanent extensions are a great alternative and look way more natural.
6. Androgynous hair
You may have noticed that while the men are sporting top knots, women’s hair has been getting progressively shorter and more androgynous. There have been plenty of buzz cuts and pixie crops on the Spring 2016 runways which will probably inspire a few of us normal folk to take the plunge too.
