Is it black and blue or gold and white?! This photo sent the Internet into a total meltdown with everyone and their dog posting about it and arguments breaking out across all social media channels. Turns out it was black and blue.
Inspired by its namesakes growing lips, the Kylie Jenner Lip challenge almost broke the Internet. Rumour had it the youngest Kardashian achieved her plumped up pout by sucking her lips into a shot glass every morning. Horror ensued when teenagers attempted to do the same and ended up with badly bruised or burst lips. Kylie later admitted to lip injections.
The star of Superbowl 2015s pre game performance was not Katy Perry, but the dancing shark behind her. Referred to as #LeftShark on social media, the backup dancer was at least 2 beats behind everyone else and was clearly ill prepared for his moment in the spotlight.
Zayn Malik broke the hearts of thousands of 13-year-old girls when he announced his departure from the boy band of the century - One Direction. The band claimed it would continue on as a foursome, but devastated fans raged for days on Twitter, begging Zayn to reconsider and threatening protests across London.
Vanity Fairs July cover was one of the most talked about images of the year, as it featured former Olympic athlete and patriarch of the Kardashian family, Bruce Jenner, coming out as transgender. Whilst the world was aware of Jenner’s transition, this cover was the first mention of Jenner’s new name – Caitlyn – and displayed the exclusive first photos post transition.
