Most of us aren’t blessed with 20/20 vision and need the help of glasses to get through every day life. They can feel like a pain, but why not turn them into a real beauty statement? There are a few simple but effective tricks of the trade that will help you pull off your new pair of specs.
1. Match your liner to your frame
Are your frames super thick? Then make sure you have eyeliner to match. Your eyeliner thickness should always mimic that of your frames. This is because thin frames and thick liner or vice versa will make your eyes look totally out of proportion – and no one wants that.

2. Define those brows
Just as your glasses frame your eyes, your brows frame your glasses. Well-maintained brows will compliment your glasses and tie the look together. If you have naturally thick brows, opt for larger frames to balance your face.

3. Keep bright shades for your lips
This is your chance to really play up your lips! Go for the most daring shade you have in your makeup case and see how much it brightens up your look. It also pulls attention to the bottom half of your face and stops the glasses from making you too top heavy.

4. Conceal, conceal, conceal.
Use a yellow concealer under your eyes to counteract the shadow from your glasses. The shadows cast by your frames can make you look super tired so don’t be afraid to layer on your concealer.

5. Always prime and set.
There is nothing more annoying than constantly adjusting your glasses on your nose! Using a dewy foundation can mean your makeup is constantly smearing underneath the nose join so ensure you are using a matte primer and finishing your look with setting powder.

6. Double up on mascara
Perfect lashes are your glasses best friends. Make sure that you are opting for a volume targeted formula rather than a lengthening or curling one. This is because it is more important to convey depth than length whilst wearing glasses, as you don’t want your lashes getting stuck against the lens!

7. Warm it up
Steer well clear of any cool toned or dark eye shadow tones. Glasses magnify the dark tones around your eyes so stick to light, warm shades and keep it natural. We love a brown-beige along the crease to add depth.
