1. Bend the brush!
As you remove your mascara wand from its tube, slightly bend the brush head against the case so it is at a right angle to the stem. This makes the wand way easier to manoeuvre and get into those pesky areas close to your lash line.
2. Wiggle it along your lash line
Keep your lashes curled for longer and more evenly coated by applying your mascara in a zigzag motion from the base and then swiping out to the tips. This will give them great volume as well.
4. Coat both sides of the lash
Thicker lashes can be achieved by coating both the front and back of your lashes. This allows the product to build up and thicken without getting clumpy, and means your lashes are as black as can be.
3. Layer Formulas
Waterproof products aren’t usually as good as their standard formula counterparts. You can achieve a waterproof finish by applying your usual mascara first, letting it dry and then applying a waterproof coating over the top to hold in place.
6. The magic of baby powder
If you are after some serious volume, nothing beats baby powder. Dust it over your lashes after each coat of mascara to further thicken them up give the next coat added hold.
5. Hot water is your friend
Mascara getting a little clumpy? Put the kettle on and submerge your mascara tube in hot water for a few seconds to loosen the product and turn it back to liquid consistency.
7. your curler
Just like with the hair on your head, the hair on your eyelids responds more effectively to heat. Warm your eyelash curler by blasting it under the hair dryer for a few seconds. Be super careful that the curler isn’t too hot and that you test the heat on your hand before putting it anywhere near your eyes.
8. Get lining
Eyeliner is the natural ally to mascara, and should be used to blend and emphasise your now perfect lashes. Run along your top lash line in between the lashes to create the effect of a thicker lash line and really make your eyes pop.
